House Bill 101
To modify the law regarding village dissolution.
The OTA supports this bill.
Status: On Tuesday, May 16, the House State and Local Government committee approved an amendment that would put a township trustee or township fiscal officer on the Transition Supervisory Board this legislation creates as a non-voting member. The committee voted the legislation out and will now head to the House floor for a full member vote. The OTA provided proponent testimony during its second hearing on April 18, 2023. On June 14, 2023, HB 101 passed the House with a vote of 86-9. The bill is now in the Senate Local Government Committee, and the OTA provided proponent testimony on September 12, 2023, during its second hearing.
