Blue Heron Park Complex A Community Collaborative Model

The Blue Heron Park Complex, located in Montville Township, will soon be adding on. The grand opening for the Spokes II Lodge/Coffee Shop/Bike and Snowshoe Rental facility is slated for June 21st from 3 to 10 pm, the day of the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and a nature lover’s holiday.

Blue Heron is already home to three beautiful scenic nature reserve-type parks that resulted from grants, contributions and in-kind donations from 15 different agencies and organizations, and scores of volunteers from the community who worked together on various components of the project. Austin Badger Park opened in 2015, Aaron Smith Park opened in 2017, and Thomas Currier Park will officially open in the near future.
