Event Details

Speaker:

Joe Jorgenson, President, Robin Technologies, Inc.

Jeff Knight, Attorney, Bricker Graydon

Description:

In April 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice issued a landmark final rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), establishing formal accessibility requirements for websites and mobile apps offered by public entities. This new regulation represents a significant shift in compliance obligations, posing challenges and opportunities for public entities.

Join us for an informative webinar co-hosted by the Ohio Municipal League, Ohio Library Council, Ohio Parks and Recreation Association, and Ohio Township Association. Joe Jorgenson, President of Robin Technologies, Inc., will break down the key aspects of website compliance, outlining the steps public entities must take to ensure their sites meet the new standards and offering practical insights to mitigate legal risks while promoting digital inclusion. Jeff Knight, an attorney with Bricker Graydon, will focus on the specific requirements for mobile app accessibility and the actions public entities need to take to align their apps with the DOJ's rule. Whether you manage a township website, a library mobile app, or a city portal, this session will provide the guidance needed to meet the new standards and support accessibility for all users.
