Senate Bill 56
To consolidate the administration of the marijuana control program, revise the medical and adult-use marijuana laws, and to levy taxes on marijuana.
Status
On Wednesday, February 26, the Ohio Senate passed SB 56 by a vote of 23-9. The version passed by the Senate eliminated all changes to the revenue distribution made in the as-introduced version. The OTA has been told any changes to marijuana distributions will be in HB 96, the state operating budget. This bill has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee and awaits its first hearing.
