Classification: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Pay Range: $50,000 - $58,000 annually
Location: Blendon Township, Franklin County, Westerville, Ohio


Blendon Township is a dynamic and vibrant Township that offers a senior center dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults. Our mission is to provide enriching programs, resources, and opportunities for social connection, personal growth, and active living. We are looking for an innovative, compassionate, and strategic leader to join our team as the Senior Center Director.

As the Senior Center Director, under the guidance of the Township Administrator, you will lead a passionate team dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for seniors. You will oversee all aspects of the center’s operations, including program development, staff management, community engagement, and budget oversight. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping the future of senior services in our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leadership & Strategy: Drive the center’s vision and strategy, ensuring programs align with the senior community's needs and interests.
  • Program Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of a variety of programs, including wellness, social, educational, and recreational activities.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong partnerships with local organizations, government agencies, and the broader community to enhance the center's offerings and outreach.
  • Staff Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the center operates smoothly, from facility management to compliance with health and safety regulations. Other related duties as assigned by the Township Administrator.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 3+ years of leadership experience in senior services, community center management, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of the needs of older adults and a passion for working with this population.
    • Proven success in program development, budget management, and team leadership.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Experience in fundraising and grant writing is a plus but not a requirement.
    • Other related duties as assigned by the Township Administrator.
    • Having a CDL Class B License with a passenger endorsement is a plus.
