Joint Property Tax Study Review and Reform Committee
The Joint Property Tax Study Review and Reform Committee was created in House Bill 33, the State Operating Budget, and is tasked with studying property taxes in the state of Ohio. This committee will make recommendations to the General Assembly regarding any proposed changes to property taxes. The committee is comprised of five House members and five Senators and is co-chaired by Representative Bill Roemer and Senator Bill Blessing.

On Wednesday, May 1, OTA Executive Director Heidi M. Fought was invited to testify before the committee on behalf of Ohio’s 1,308 townships. View this testimony below.
