Ohio General Assembly Priorities

In November 2018, the OTA Officers and Board of Directors adopted Legislative Priorities for the 133rd Ohio General Assembly. The Legislative Priorities consist of issues that are of importance to Ohio townships and will significantly impact the efficiency of township government. Many of the ideas contained in the OTA's Legislative Priorites came from you, our members.

As entities of statute, it is important for members of the General Assembly to thoroughly understand the dynamic issues that confront townships. Ohio legislators are provided the OTA Legislative Priorities and encouraged to reference them when drafting legislation. The OTA Legislative Priorities are the legislative platform for the OTA, setting forth OTA's positions on key issues. OTA staff are guided by the priorities as they work with the General Assembly on legislation.

Has your township recently encountered an issue that is not addressed in the Legislative Priorities? Let us hear from you!
